Stark was born in Moran, Kansas. He attended Emporia State University, where he earned a degree in business administration with a minor in psychology.
After college, Stark started a long career in sales and marketing for the Kraft Foods Company. He and his wife, Betty, along with their sons, Jason and Josh, moved from town to town. Stark has lived in various locales in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Tennessee. He and his wife have settled down in the small Memphis suburb of Collierville, Tennessee.
Stark is busy enjoying his retirement and plotting the third book in the Revenge Factor series.
