Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Komparatistik, Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft, Note: 1,5, Faculté des Lettres, des Arts et des Humanités de la Manouba (Germanistik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Forschungsfrage der Masterarbeit lautet: Inwiefern war die Literatur des 18. Jahrhunderts revolutionär und was sind die für den Leser bezeichnenden Züge dieser Literatur? Alles Revolutionärpolitische dieser Epoche, alle angestrebten sozialen Reformen und auch revolutionären Gedanken über Religion sollen nun anhand von Schillers Jugenddramen "Die Räuber" und "Kabale und Liebe" hierzu analysiert werden. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt hierbei in der Auseinandersetzung mit dem Gedankengut der nach Freiheit und Gerechtigkeit strebenden Schriftsteller sowie mit der Idee der Rebellion und Revolution und den revolutionären Werken und deren revolutionären Protagonisten. Die aus der literarischen Epoche Sturm und Drang stammenden Werke spiegeln die revolutionäre Haltung eines revolutionären Dichters wider. In den beiden Dramen fasst der junge Schriftsteller den reformerischen Geist und das Denken eines ganzen Jahrhunderts sowie das Leben der ehemaligen Gesellschaft mit all ihren Problemen und Sorgen zusammen. Am 23. Februar 1793 schreibt Schiller einen Brief an seinen Freund Körner, in welchem er seine Wut zum Ausdruck bringt: "Was sprichst Du zu den französischen Sachen? Ich habe wirklich eine Schrift für den König schon angefangen gehabt, aber es wurde mir nicht wohl darüber, und da ligt sie mir nun noch da. Ich kann seit 14 Tagen keine Französische Zeitungen mehr lesen, so ekeln diese elenden Schindersknechte mich an." Hier weist Schiller auf die am 21. Januar 1873 vollstreckte Hinrichtung des französischen Königs hin. Dieses Datum "bezieht sich auf ein weltgeschichtliches Ereignis von weitreichendem Ausmaß, das man in Europa mit Erschrecken aufgenommen hatte. Die Revolution war mit diesem Ereignis in eine Phase radikale
