About the Author: Author's Personal Statement For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in the interactions of human beings and on a larger scale how human behavior affects society. I have a particular interest in resolving conflict in corporate settings, which is an area I believe, cannot be embarked on lightly. I consider myself a scholar and practitioner that likes to transform conflict and catalyze social change outside ordinary practices. I believe the world cries out for innovative thinking to invoke the human capacity for creativity. Therefore, I hope you will travel with the tides, others have journeyed to help you decide a better path. Implicit in this work is the truism that conflicts cannot be solved by the same thinking - or the same kind of thinking patterns. Instead, patterns need to be disturbed. I leave this up to your imagination, how this can be achieved. My background in academia is vast (BA, BSc, MEd, completed coursework MSc, Administration, Doctoral candidate Human Organizational Development and more) and considers a broad scope in the humanities and education. I have worked in local and international settings with corporate executives, dignitaries and Aboriginal leaders. They have provided me with a unique vision, and taught me how to see with new eyes, and act accordingly to create balance and harmony in our world. This volume explores the challenges worldwide, referencing habits and beliefs of the participants. They include the interactions, connections and understanding. In the mid 1990s, I worked with the Military Intelligence; Special Forces, and Peacekeeping Operations in Sungnam-Si, a satellite city of Seoul, South Korea. During this time, I developed pilot programs to encourage foreign relationship-building. The content presented is intended to maturate social well-being without any intended political agenda. In the past, I also worked with juvenile delinquents, youth-at-risk, adults on probation and more. Thus, I have familiarity with various models of thinking. This volume intends to show you (the reader) other angles of thinking, and ground-breaking applications. The stories in this volume invite discussion on creative thinking about societal directions for humanity, issues about, civility and framing social justice.
