El dossier de este número que precede a las vacaciones de verano está dedicado a la figura de Eoin O'Duffy de las distintas organizaciones que creó. Nos ha falta incluir por cuestiones de espacio (algo que resolveremos en el número XLI) un amplio estudio dedicado a la presencia de los voluntarios irlandeses en la Guerra Civil Española, episodio que significó el auge... y la caída de O'Duffy a tenor de los escasos resultados de la unidad. El caso de O'Duffy muestra las imprecisiones de lo que es el fascismo en sentido estricto con lo que es la impregnación fascista (lo que en España, Ramiro Ledesma llamó fascistizados). No basta el nacionalismo, el cesarismo y el antibolchevismo para diferenciarse de la derecha autoritaria, es preciso algo más. El caso de O'Duffy es precisamente el de alguien que queda más acá del fascismo. La controvertida figura del coronel Eoin O'Duffy, imprimió carácter al fascismo irlandés. Subsiste la duda todavía si se trató de un verdadero fascismo o, más bien, de una forma de derecha autoritaria, mucho más fascistizado que fascista. Austreberto Martínez Villegas traza una perspectiva de este dirigente irlandés y de su portentosa aventura. O'Duffy fue uno de los miembros de la Comisión de Coordinación de los Comités de Acción por la Universalidad de Roma, estructura internacional creada por Eugenio Coselschi con la autorización del Duce y con el fin de establecer una red de contactos en el extranjero entre personalidades y movimientos afines a la política del fascismo. El extraño caso de Salvador Merino, jefe de los sindicatos nacionales en los primeros años del franquismo, ha dejado muchos interrogantes. Incluso hoy resulta envuelto en brumas el cómo este militante falangista fue encumbrado y posteriormente destituido y condenado a 12 años de cárcel. Carlos Martínez-Cava Arenas nos expone la biografía de este enigma. Ángel Pestaña conoció a José Antonio. Se reunieron en dos ocasiones y, aunque no llegaron a ningún acuerdo, ambas partes, años después lamentarían este desencuentro. El caso Pestaña evidencia la asimetría y lo superficial de las relaciones que Falange Española antes de la guerra mantuvo con fueras de izquierdas. Segunda parte de la introducción a la obra Historia de la Revolución Nacional Socialista de Ernesto Milà que pronto se publicará en edición Mexicana. El autor aborda en esta entrega los valores en positivo que marcaron la senda del nacional-socialismo en su período de ascenso al poder. Se añade un comentario sobre la llamada querella de los historiadores La traducción del Capítulo I de La Revolución Necesaria, obra escrita por Arnaud Dandieu y Robert Aron nos introduce en la problemática del tema: ¿qué es ser revolucionario y cuál es el carácter revolucionario? La obra nos sitúa ante una nueva respectiva revolucionaria que hace honor a su título. Los autores realizan una examen a las ideas revolucionarias.
