About the Author:
Darren McGrady was chef to Queen Elizabeth II, Diana, Princess of Wales and Princes William and Harry for fifteen years and has cooked for five US presidents. He now resides in Dallas, Texas, where he runs a successful catering company called Eating Royally Fine Dining. He is also an author, culinary consultant, event planner and public speaker. His first cookbook, Easting Royally: Recipes and Remembrances from a Palace Kitchen, was published in 2007 and all royalties from the sale of Eating Royally were donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
Darren has appeared on Good Morning America, The Oprah Winfrey Show, CBS Early Show, Fox and Friends, CNN Headline News, the Today Show and Larry King Live. In print, his recipes and writing have appeared in numerous publications including USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, PEOPLE magazine, the Boston Globe and US Weekly.
Darren became the first private chef invited to cook at the prestigious James Beard House in New York. He has partnered with American Airlines in premium cabin food service on flights between Europe and the USA.
The Royal Chef at Home: Easy Seasonal Entertaining is his second book.
Susan Ruffins enjoys life as a writer, chef, teacher and avid gardener. Her writing covers topics as varied as sociology, food and culture, modern finance, science and lifestyle. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
Dick Patrick is a third generation photographer who began his business, Dick Patrick Studios, Inc. in the mid-1980s. Since then he has produced impactful, award winning imagery for an impressive roster of clients. Although helping companies achieve their marketing and advertising goals has been his primary focus, he takes particular delight in creating alluring and appetizing food photographs for the editorial market.
