Ein märchenhaftes Theaterstück: Rumpelstilzchens Urururenkel wird im Traum von seinem Vorfahren gebeten, das Ende des Märchens zu ändern, so grausam und eigensinnig wie in der Version der Gebrüder Grimm sei er doch gar nicht gewesen. Geträumt, getan. So sucht und findet der Nachfahre des Märchenschurken einen armen Müller und seine Tochter, übernimmt selbst die Rolle des Regisseurs, inszeniert das alte Märchen mit Doppel- und Dreifachrollen neu und führt es zu einem überraschenden Ende.
About the Author: Hans Hirschmüller ist am 15. März 1940 in Rumänien geboren. Er absolvierte ein Maschinenbau-Studium in München. Von 1961 bis 1964 nahm er Schauspielunterricht bei Hans Baur in München. 1964 erfolgte sein Kinodebüt in dem Kurzfilm Die Versöhnung (Regie: Rudolf Thome). Von 1969-72 wirkte Hans Hirschmüller in mehreren Filmen von Rainer Werner Fassbinder mit; für die Rolle des Obsthändlers Hans Epp in Händler der vier Jahreszeiten gewinnt er 1972 den Deutschen Filmpreis. Er erhält 1990 den Adolf-Grimme-Preis für Sehnsucht nach Sodom (Regie und Buch), einen Dokumentarfilm über den Aids-Tod des Schauspielers und Ex-Fassbinder-Mitarbeiters Kurt Raab. Seit den 1960er-Jahren erfolgten viele Theaterengagements: Theater Bremen, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Freie Volksbühne Berlin, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Kammerspiele München. Er spielte unter der Regie von Peter Zadek, Klaus Michael Grüber, Hans Neuenfels, Jürgen Flimm, Wilfried Minks, Herbert Achternbusch und Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Hans Hirschmüller ist auch tätig auch als Theaterregisseur, hauptsächlich von Fassbinder-Stücken, bekommt 1994 für die Katzelmacher-Inszenierung den Bayerischen Theaterpreis in Erlangen. Zuletzt inszenierte er FassbindersAnarchie in Bayern im Berliner Theater unterm Turm am Hohenzollernplatz (im November 2012). Er bereitet zur Zeit Fassbinders Angst essen Seele auf vor (Premiere Mitte September 2013). Dafür sucht er noch eine geeignete Spielstätte.
