About the Book

Newly updated, with three new essays... The ultimate success of any organization in the face of constant change lies in its ability to cultivate, encourage and elicit from its people their best talents, their passion, and an eagerness to apply themselves toward helping achieve their and the organization's common mission. Employee engagement and effective communications, in its many forms, are integral to achieving those ends. This collection of short essays - most of them written over the past couple years and appearing in the author's blog, "Inside the Organization" - have been adapted, updated, expanded, and organized to address these key points and related issues: - What drives change, why it's inevitable. - Change's multiple impacts on organizations.- How people operate within organizations, and how they need to adapt to deal with change.- The role that employee engagement and effective communications play in making stronger organizations, better able to adapt to and take advantage of change.- The central position that customers must play in the equation if organizations are to succeed, and how that links back to change and effective communications.
