About the Book

Set in Israel of 1967, a young woman escapes from her captors in India to Israel where she lives with friends of her mother's and makes a new life.

A controversial book, shadow banned on various social networks, for its telling of how soldiers in the IDF went undercover in Jordan in the lead up to the war of 1967 - perhaps the shortest war in history - and helped it be that short by preventing the completion of a ritual; How the date of the 'surprise attack' was predicted months ahead on the basis on information given by a ritual abuse survivor whose trauma hormones were being used to work the public up before, during and after the war.

Most of all though, it is a personal telling of how love conquers all.

------------

The forces against Israel gather for a twelve year ritual that is to end with another massacre of Jews in 1967. On every side, a new nation is surrounded by forces ready to sweep over the land and do ritual sacrifice as has never been done in history.

At this moment in time, a group of undercover scouts of Israeli Intelligence find themselves across the border in Jordan. Overlooking an ancient village where time stands still, they find their dreams colliding with reality. With a sky of bronze above and heaviness below they set out in a race against time, against all odds, to find out how they can stop the ancient ritual which when completed triggers off the sacrifice.

But when they find the ghosts of the past, and the voices of their loved ones from back home guiding them into unsafe uncertain territory beyond their training, beyond what is accepted, beyond what is known; will they risk their lives and overcome their programming, to do the right thing?

And will Sara, who stays at home reveal the secret she carries that will unlock the mystery the world is trying to solve?

Reader Reviews:

  • Highly rewarding read - Triumph of love against and as part of a crucial historical conflict
  • I have to say I loved the sex and the flirting, the chemistry, the atmosphere.
I haven't been to Israel but I've heard it can get hot out there.
I classify this book as inspirational as it really is on every page a churner of the gut and makes you want to do things. Energizing and refreshingly simple.
  • The book is stunning.
I haven't read romance and love scenes like this in years.
  • Burning with passion that must wait for the right time, this book is a revelation of the feelings one feels when threatened as a people, when God is not theory or ideal but an everyday force.
  • A stunning but gentle expose of what those subject to ritual abuse must face in order to overcome fear and heal. Not for the faint of heart.
  • A beautiful unforgettable book that grows on you and becomes part of your consciousness.
  • Easy to read but not easy to read. I had to stop several times to come to grips with the sentiments evoked. Love for family, faith in God, the courage to cross the bridge from what's safe into what has to be done.
  • Sometimes disconcerting, sometimes disturbing in its stark description of harsh realities sandwiched right in between the lightness of youth and the depth of experience, I found this book a roller-coaster ride that had me thinking about it long after I'd put it down.
  • An epic in its own way, this book unravels a point of view I have never read in any book on the subject of the Six Day War of 1967, or Israel's defense as a country.
