About the Book

Sasha is a story about a beautiful but deadly south African black leopard. She is given the charge of protecting Esther and her family after saving her from certain death. After tragically failing this task, she is given a second chance to protect another young couple only this time from the spirit world. Sierra, an orphaned girl found shivering in a cold dark alley. She was adopted by John & Frances along with four Jewish orphans and raised on their farm in Canada. Michailovich, a baby rescued by John's brother Paul. His wealthy parents were executed for helping Jewish escapees. He later goes to stay on John's farm after Paul's early demise. That's when he meets Sierra and they quickly fall in love. Some time later he is given a letter from his real parents to Paul along with a mysterious necklace holding a key and tag. Riddled with curiosity and emptiness, he and Sierra set out to unlock the truth about his past. They soon find themselves, their family back home, their new found friend Tina and Sierra's unborn child caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Hunted by crooked cops and greedy bankers there is no place to turn and no one to turn to. That's when Sasha steps in. Sasha the Spirit Guardian is an action packed, on the edge story with many colors. It tells of self sacrifice, love, fun, hate, courage, fear, death and rebirth. The story starts out in a 1960's South African village then jumps to NY. The roots of the story are based in 1950 & 60's Canada, but travel back to upstate NY. The reader will visit true and fictional periods of the Holocaust. Then go from quiet country farming, sandy beaches to dangerous big city life.
About the Author: My name is Steven J Camp I'm the youngest of four brothers. I was born and raised in a small upstate NY trapping town. We grew up in an elderly home my father built. That's how I met John Drummen. A fascinating old ghost story writer/hunter; my first mentor. He lived in a famous haunted house, the Fox cottage. We became fast friends, I sat and listened to his stories day after day. After he got better and left, I started receiving creative writing magazines that he ordered for me. I never gave thought to the impact he was making in my life. We stayed friends until he passed away. As far back as I can remember I've been a dreamer. Never accepting I can't or good enough. Late at night I would sit in front of our crackling fire place and drift off into my imagination. I often dreamt of being a actor/writer. I still indulge in those childhood feelings. However for years I lost track of who I wanted to be, caught up in life and painfully unable to reach my dreams. In 03 I was working a job I despised. My only escape was in my imagination. That's when Sasha developed. Like a flood hitting a dam, the only thing I could do was let it flow. Now I have several stories in that dam I want to share with the world. But I work about 60 hrs a week plus a long commute. It seems I'm always fighting the clock. I tell my kids you can be anything you want if you put your mind to it! However at 41 and 45 careers later I'm starting to wonder. I know what I want, I'm just not sure how to get there. I Dare to dream.
