About the Author: Unter dem Motto "Schreiben in einem Zug" luden die Deutsche Bahn AG und die Books on Demand GmbH mit Unterstützung der Stiftung Lesen Nachwuchsautoren ein, ihre Geschichte zum Thema "Bahn" aufzuschreiben. Aus über 1.600 anonymisierten Einsendungen wählte eine prominent besetzte Jury, darunter der Schriftsteller Thomas Hettche, ein Journalist der Frankfurter Rundschau sowie ein Redakteur der DB-Kundenzeitschrift mobil, Vertreter der Deutschen Bahn und Books on Demand, die fünfzehn besten Kurzgeschichten aus, die bei BoD in einer Anthologie erschienen sind. Das Buch wurde am 7. Oktober 2004 auf der Frankfurter Buchmesse der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Die drei Hauptgewinner Jasamin Ulfat (1. Preis), Ingrid Walter (2. Preis) und Daniel Oliver Bachmann (3. Preis) lasen Auszüge aus ihren Geschichten - ein feierlicher Moment am Stand der Stiftung Lesen.
