Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Informatik - Technische Informatik, Note: 1,3, Technische Universität Berlin (Institut für Telekommunikationssysteme), Veranstaltung: Verteilte Systeme, Schwarmintelligenz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Sensornetze stellen eine neuartige Technologie dar, deren Realisierung erst durch technische Fortschritte der letzten Jahre, wie die Entwicklung immer kleinerer Computerkomponenten, ermöglicht wurde. Im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen Computer-Netzwerken bestehen Sensornetze aus einer vergleichsweise großen Anzahl von Knoten. Mittels diverser Sensoren sind die Knoten imstande, Ereignisse in ihrer Umgebung wahrzunehmen. Die Aufgabe der Sensorknoten ist die Beobachtung der Umwelt und das Berichten besonderer Ereignisse an eine Basisstation. Sensornetze stellen somit eine Verbindung zwischen der realen Welt und der informationstechnischen Welt der Computer dar [1]. Sensornetze müssen zur Selbstorganisation im Stande sein: Zum einen erschwert die große Anzahl der Knoten eine effektive Wartung. Zum anderen existieren Ans]atze, um Sensornetze in schwer zugänglichen Gebieten fernab der Zivilisation einzusetzen. Sensorknoten werden i. Allg. mittels einer Batterie betrieben. Falls sie keine Möglichkeit - wie z.B. Solarzellen - besitzen, um sich wieder aufzuladen, ist ihre Lebenszeit begrenzt. Auf dem Weg bis zur Integration dieser Technologie in unser allt]agliches Leben sind noch zahlreiche Herausforderungen zu l]osen. Ein Mittel dazu k]onnte Schwarmintelligenz darstellen. Schwarmintelligenz ist ein Konzept, welches durch Verhaltensweisen von Schw]armen (besonders die von Ameisen bei der Nahrungssuche) inspiriert wurde. Das Ziel dieses Ansatzes ist es, spezielle Verhaltensweisen zu imitieren und in technischen Anwendungen somit auch deren Vorteile zu nutzen. Bei Schwärmen entsteht scheinbar intelligentes Verhalten aufgrund der Interaktionen der einzelnen Individuen, welche selbst nur ein einziges, individuelles Ziel verfolgen. Durch die
