About the Author: Monique Garcia est née à Bordeaux en 1961. Quand on lui demande quels sont les auteurs qui ont marqué ses études littéraires, elle se déclare avant tout fervente admiratrice des romans de Balzac et de Conan Doyle, et de la poésie de Baudelaire et de Lautréamont. Férue de montagne et de randonnée, elle a co-écrit deux romans policiers dont l'action se déroule dans les Pyrénées: "Le mystère du guide foudroyé, une aventure de Sherlock Holmes "(2002) et "Le silence des pierres" (2005). Passionnée par le mystère qui entoure la vie de l'auteur des Chants de Maldoror, elle est allée enquêter sur les pas supposés du comte de Lautréamont, en Bigorre, à Paris, et jusqu'à Buenos Aires et Montevideo.
