About the Book
The purpose of this edited book is to present and showcase the basic fundamentals, applications, and integration of both IoT and Blockchain. The trend of applying Blockchain to IoT is rapidly growing because it helps to overcome various challenges faced by IoT, from smart manufacturing to unmanned aerial vehicles.
Thise book aims to showcase the basics of both IoT and Blockchain as well as the integration and challenges for existing practitioners. About the Author: Dr. Sudhir Kumar Sharma is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Institute of Information Technology & Management affiliated to GGSIPU, New Delhi, India. He has extensive experience for over 19 years in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Information Technology from USICT, GGSIPU, New Delhi, India. Dr. Sharma obtained his M. Tech degree in Computer Science & Engineering in 1999 from the Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, India and M.Sc. degree in Physics from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee), Roorkee, in 1997. His research interests include Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Security. He has published a number of research papers in various prestigious International Journals and International Conferences. He is a life member of CSI and IETE. Dr. Sharma is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of End-User Computing and Development (IJEUCD), IGI Global, USA. He is a convener of ICETIT-2019. Bharat Bhushan is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at HMRITM, GGSIP university, New Delhi, India. Currently, he is also serving as a Managing Director, Gateville, Allahabad, U.P., India, and pursuing a PhD degree specializing in Wireless Sensor Networks at the Birla institute of technology, Mesra, India. He received his Undergraduate (BTech) degree in CSE with Distinction in 2012 and received his Masters (MTech) degree in Information Security with Distinction in 2015 from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India. He earned numerous international certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco certified network professional Trained, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, Microsoft certified IT Professional, Red-hat Certified Engineer. He has Published more than 74 papers in different national and international conferences and journals including wireless personal communications (Springer) and wireless networks (springer). He was selected as a reviewer/Editorial Board Member for several reputed international journals. He also served as a speaker, Session Chair or Co-chair at various National and International Conferences. In the past, he worked as a Network Engineer for HCL Infosystems Ltd. He has qualified for four GATE exams (GATE 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016) and gained several years of experience in imparting quality education to students. He is a member of IEEE. Dr Bhuvan Unhelkar (BE, MDBA, MSc, PhD; FACS; PSM-I, CBAP(R)) is an accomplished IT professional and Professor of IT at the University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee (Lead Faculty). He is also Founding Consultant at Method Science and a Co-Founder/Director at PlatiFi. He has mastery in Business Analysis & Requirements Modeling, Software Engineering, Big Data Strategies, Agile Processes, Mobile Business and Green IT. His domain experience is banking, financial, insurance, government and telecommunications. Bhuvan is a thought-leader and a prolific author of 20 books - including Big Data Strategies for Agile Business and The Art of Agile Practice (Taylor and Francis/CRC Press, USA). Recent Cutter executive reports (Boston, USA) include Psychology of Agile, Business Transformation, Collaborative Business & Enterprise Agility and Agile in Practice-a Composite approach. He is a winner of the Computerworld Object Developer Award (1995), Consensus IT Professional Award (2006) and IT Writer Award (2010). He has a Doctorate in the area of "Object Orientation" from the University of Technology, Sydney, in 1997. Bhuvan is Fellow of the Australian Computer Society, IEEE Senior Member, Professional Scrum Master, Life member of Computer Society of India and Baroda Management Association, Member of SDPS, Past President of Rotary Sarasota Sunrise (Florida) & St. Ives (Sydney), Paul Harris Fellow (+6), Discovery volunteer at NSW parks and wildlife, and a previous TiE Mentor. Dr. Unhelkar is the winner of the Computerworld Object Developer Award (1995), Consensus IT Professional Award (2006) and IT Writer Award (2010). He also chaired the Business Analysis Specialism Group of the Australian Computer Society.
