About the Author: Skip Harlicka grew up in New Jersey and went to the University of South Carolina, where he was honored as first team All-ACC and all-American. He is a member of the University of South Carolina's Athletic Hall of Fame. Following college, Skip was a 1st first-round draft choice for the Atlanta Hawks.
Skip moved from the world of professional sports into the business world, where he eventually rose through the ranks to become vice president of a nationwide residential mortgage operation.
Skip is now self-employed and enjoys working out six days a week. His proudest accomplishments, however, come from his role as a parent and a grandparent. He is the father of a Georgia Tech alumni son and two granddaughters who were adopted from China. Harlicka is grateful for every person who helped him arrive at the place of peace where he is today.
