En bog inspireret af virkelige hændelser med humor, urimeligheder, frækheder og gengældelse. Wilhelm Brandt er pensioneret oberst fra Hæren. Han er gift med Elise, som er advokatsekretær. Som unge og nygifte bosatte de sig i et traditionelt villakvarter, hvor de fik sønnen Claes. Et ønske om at give drengen en sundere opvækst fik dem til at købe en ejendom på landet med noget skov og adgang til naturarealer. Dér blev datteren Ulrikke født. Som voksen arbejder Ulrikke og hendes mand nu i udlandet og er derfor ikke så tit på besøg hjemme. Claes er gift med Julie og sammen har de datteren Alberte på tre år. De bor i en forstad til København i et villakvarter. Da Wilhelm tidligt lod sig pensionere fra forsvaret, var det bl.a. fordi han ville udnytte den viden, hans oplevelser havde givet ham om menneskelig adfærd. Han startede derfor som freelance Coach og Storyteller. Han havde rimelig succes, men trappede alligevel aktiviteten ned med årene. Bl.a. hans beretninger om komiske, utrolige og uheldige ople-velser under et hospitalsophold fik gang i lattermusklerne hos tilhørerne. Han og Elise blev efter nogle år enige om, at tiden var inde til at søge tilbage til byen og de bor derfor nu i et parcelhus i et traditionelt villa-kvarter. Tættere på søn og svigerdatter - og barnebarnet. Og så har han et uforløst ønske om, at nedfælde sine hospitalserindringer i novelleform. Efter i mange år at have levet med god afstand til naboer og andre og en lang årrække med klare kommandolinjer i Hæren og lydhøre kursusdeltagere, oplever Wilhelm Brandt flytningen til byen som problematisk. Der er for mange, der ikke gør, det de bør. Det man med rette kan forvente. Og der er for mange, som gør noget, de ikke bør gøre. Skal man finde sig i det? Han har for lidt autoritet over dem. Han opfatter det som en krigserklæring! En krigserklæring, som nødvendiggør, at han tager loven i egen hånd! Han må improvisere ...
About the Author: Bøje Aagaard Kristensen er født den 27. november 1955, Grene ved Billund Bøje Aagaard Kristensen er uddannet bankmand og arbejdede i mere end 25 år i den finansielle sektor primært i Danmark. Derudover har han i mere end tyve år arbejdet med finansiel rådgivning og skovbrug. I 2018 debuterede han med spændingsromanen HVEM SLUKKEDE LYSET?
