About the Book

On a crisp autumn day, ramblers stumbled across skeletal remains in Sherwood Forest. The media quickly focused on a serial killer, until the police pathologist announced the mummified remains were several hundred years old. THE SHERWOOD FOREST MAN is not the usual crime mystery. Only a criminal analyst such as the intrepid Inspector Jethro Jordon can solve this intriguing enigma, but he has to deal with dreams of his past suspension from the Kenyan police for killing the Mau-Mau that murdered his family. Still fighting his demons, and with two new recruits, Sergeant Josh Crosby and Constable Penny Willow, Jordon faces an impossible task. Discovering the remains are an Egyptian mummy, the story unfolds, eventually leading them to Benjamin Naseby, an obsessive Egyptian treasure hunter, the rehousing of England's museum treasures during the Second World War and three murders to protect Naseby's growing empire. Thinking he has the better of this man, Jordon discovers Naseby has a vault full of dossiers on Nottingham's elite. With only months to live, the old man thinks he has outwitted Jordon's attempt to indict him. However, Jordon switches his attention to the dossiers and uses the vault's safety device to destroy them. Naseby never gets his pardon and Jordon returns to his past.
