Have you ever wondered what was really behind the so-called forces of nature? Are you aware of the hidden realm that exists? Well, I wonder no more because the story "The Shore, The City of Man" reveals the spiritual world that exists beyond our world. In that world, there are two kingdoms - one of darkness and the other of light. As expected, the King, the devil incarnate, rules the kingdom of darkness. In yet another domain, a dark palace exists, which is home to four witches - The Queen, Diamond, Gem, and Star.
Star is the youngest witch and the one most dear to the Queen, who has taken a personal interest in teaching her the ways of darkness. Star is her secret weapon to bring about death, destruction, and slavery to man. But unknown to the Queen, Diamond, who is tri-part - Diamond Youth, Diamond Prime, and Diamond Elder - has been secretly teaching Star the ways of light. Not being able to comprehend the two conflicting beliefs, Star is left confused. On the day that the Queen intends to execute her plans, Star escapes from the Palace, seeking refuge in the world of man.
Refusing to let Star foil her plans, the Queen quickly pursues her, taking Diamond along and ordering Gem to remain in the Palace. However, Gem, who has a personal vendetta against Star, blatantly disobeys the orders and embarks on a search of her own to find Star, with the intent to secretly kill her. Noticing the commotion, the King dispatches his own demonic forces and also enters the world of man, disguised as one of them. Not being left out, the forces of light send out heavenly beings to win Star over and save her from an eternal plight.
