About the Book

This volume of the Glass Planet series, is # 3, "The Silver Sarcophagus". What if the miracles in the Bible were real? How could that be unless they were the acts of advanced aliens? This series of 3 books explores this in fiction, spoken from the point of view of reserachers circling earth. The history in Egypt, the Exodus and more are the result of inter breeding of our races. And has left us confused and desiring something more than we have here on earth. An indiginous people on a young planet are accidently invaded by a deep space research team of off-worlders. And their lives are forever changed. Their ancient god-father is displaced in space/time, and then returns and effects great changes on this now nomadic people of his descent. He attempts to aid, but almost destroys them with his love, and then he dies despondantly in space. The mystery of his death is solved in the discovery of the silver sarcophagus five thousand years later. Their homeworld is invaded by another race, strangly insectoid bent on unknown purposes. But these nafarious intentions are uncovered inadvertantly when one of their species, an artist named Shantraciel, is taken to the insect planet alive, and experiences the conversion processes that his people are being subjected to. it horrifes him and changes him forever. He escapes back to hiss dying planet, where they are fleeing for survival to other planetsincluding this one. They settle around the globe in un populated areas, but start civilizations of their own, from nothing. But when their planet is once again habiable, they return home leaving husks of advanced civilzations buried in sand and jungle and mystery, leaving behind a frightened and confused native population, yearning for to be reunited with their ancient Gods that once were but now have abandoned them. An acheological team digs up an unknown artifact, and the ancient beacon is triggered. And these children of the Clear Being await his return. Science-fiction with horror, parnormal, occult elements. This series of 3 books can be had in "The Glass Planet 4: series books 1,2, and 3, the Silver Sarcophagus".
About the Author: Morgan Reed lives on a ranch in the mountains of Northern California with lots of animals and books. "I attribute my writing start to my university, SF State, where I learned how to read and write, no kidding, and from studying an interdisciplinary course work, many ideas began to work. My mother was a tacher for ever and my father, a scientist, and these influenced me to question and wonder about the world, and not take anything for granted. Questioning does not mean something is 'wrong', but I still wonder about the things we call truth. Each of the Galss Planet series is a little different. It has grown and cahnged. This one becam3e a horror story and was very fun to write. I am surprised now at the point of view it is written from, the aliens, pointedly the Angel Gabriel. And I wonder at our history and what those old stories mean and how true they are and how much truth in that truth? So our myth of Christianity holds that the miracles are true. Well what else could be that powerful, a God, or an alien we simply dont understand and call him god. Very simple, actually. Surpised no one else saw it. But the myth simply is dependant upon it remaining a mystery and unexplainable. We dont need more myth in our lives. On the contrary we need to start looking at things hard and scientifically if we are to survive through the next collapse. Anything beyond stone age level anyway."
