Ich arbeite mich weiter durch die Neuigkeiten und sehe, dass mehrere meiner Bekannten unter einem Post einer Nachrichtenagentur diskutieren. Sie schreiben sachlich, aber die Emojis, die sie ihrem Satz anhängen, lassen zwischen den Zeilen lesen. Dinge, die man sonst nicht tun würde, wenn man sich als Bekannte über den Weg läuft, denn schließlich hält man ihm nicht direkt seine Fotos unter die Nase oder befragt ihn zu seinem politischen Standpunkt. Wieso werden all diese Informationen geteilt? Welche Gründe hat es, dass man seine Urlaubsbilder öffentlich macht oder warum diskutiert man öffentlich miteinander? Und sind diese Inhalte nicht zu privat? Lassen Social Media die Privatsphäre verschwinden? Mit diesen Leitfragen wird sich die vorliegende Hausarbeit befassen und Ziel dieser ist es, Antworten zu geben. In der heutigen Zeit sind Social Media nicht wegzudenken, sie sind kein klassisches Massenmedium, ersetzen diese aber teilweise. Sie erfüllen das Bedürfnis nach persönlicher Identität, nach Integration und sozialer Interaktion, das Bedürfnis nach Information und Unterhaltung. Dank ihnen lassen sich Beziehungen pflegen und knüpfen, man kann der realen Welt für einige Momente den Rücken kehren. Diese Ausarbeitung erläutert zum Verständnis der Thematik den Einfluss der Gesell-schaft auf die Identität, im Weiteren wird die Entwicklung der Informations- und Wissensgesellschaft näher betrachtet, um dann anschließend Kommunikationsprozesse und -arten im Social Web zu erläutern.
