Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2018 im Fachbereich BWL - Unternehmensführung, Management, Organisation, Note: 1,7, Hochschule der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe Bonn, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Unter Social Scoring versteht man die Einbindung öffentlich verfügbarer oder gegebenenfalls vom Kunden zur Verfügung gestellter Daten, zum Beispiel aus sozialen Netzwerken, in ein vorhandenes Rating- und Scoringverfahren zur Bonitätsanalyse. Diese Arbeit zeigt auf, welche Vorteile sich Institute davon versprechen, aber auch welche Probleme dabei entstehen. Besonders nützlich ist das System bei anonymen Internetnutzern oder Neukunden. Kritisch zu sehen ist, insbesondere in Deutschland, die rechtliche Situation im Zusammenhang mit dem Verbraucher- und Datenschutz. Es gibt aktuell weder ein konkretes Verbot, noch eine rechtliche Zulassung für Social Scoring, was für Unternehmen einen Unsicherheitsfaktor darstellt. Erste Studien belegen außerdem, dass Nutzer im Zeitverlauf dazu neigen Daten in den sozialen Netzwerken zu manipulieren, wenn das den eigenen Scorewert verbessert. Weiterhin wird in dieser Abfassung ein Ausschnitt neuer Entwicklungen in der Bankenbranche aufgezeigt und beschrieben mit welchen Herausforderungen Finanzinstitute im Zuge der Digitalisierung rechnen müssen.
