About the Author
Anirban Basu, MS and PhD in Computer Science, is a qualified ISO 9001 Auditor, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Consultant and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Dr. Basu started his career in Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata in 1979, and joined CDAC in 1989 to play a key role in design, development, performance analysis of India’s first Supercomputer PARAM. In 1993, he set up the Advanced Computing Training School of CDAC. In 1995, he joined commercial software industry and worked in several reputed companies including Siemens Information Systems Ltd., Computer Associates, etc. at senior/top management positions. He is a Professor in Computer Science and Engineering and an accredited Research Supervisor and Examiner in several reputed universities for supervising and examining PhD theses on software engineering, cloud computing, big data and Green IT. He is also involved with providing Trainings and Consultancy to corporate clients.
With more than 35 years of experience in academia, advanced research and development, commercial software industry, consultancy and corporate training, he has published/presented about 80 research papers in reputed national and international journals and in conference proceedings. He has co-authored five books and serves as a Member of the Editorial Board/Reviewer of several International Journals and General Chair of several national and international conferences.
