Weltberühmt und steinreich kehrt er 1610 als Gentleman aus London zurück in seine Geburtsstadt Stratford-upon-Avon. Am 23. April 1616, seinem 52. Geburtstag, stirbt dort mit William Shakespeare einer der größten Dichter aller Zeiten.
