About the Book

Sometimes southern women ain't exactly what you'd expect--far from it. These seven southern women have their weekly "Tea and Scandal at Seven" meetings every Thursday night at seven. The small town of Floyd, Virginia ain't been the same since. If there's trouble, they'll fix it and if it's justice they'll serve it.

Miss Trudy Philpot is wealthy from generations of tobacco and plantation money and a widow who helps those who are less fortunate whenever and however she can. Miss Flossy Tringle is the "town hussy" and people often think of her as "one brick shy of a load". Little do they know even though she can't shoot straight with her little pea shooter, nothing could be further from the truth. Those bricks are in plentiful supply. Miss Lacy Bell-Durning is known as "The Bible Thumper" of the group and hellfire and eternal damanation hell won't hold 'em. People often wonder what she's packing and she won't tell. She prefers it to be a surprise. Miss Portia Ketchum seems to be "the refined one" of the bunch. Far from it. She likes her gentlemanly callers just like most women do. Miss Tova Devereaux is the town's attorney and she has caught more corrupt politicians and sleazebags and put them in jail than people can possibly count. Miss Jessica Fleabottom is the retired librarian and as often been said, "it's the quiet ones you have to watch". Then, of course, there's Miss Bessie Mae McCutcheons, Miss Trudy's maid and beloved friend. Let's just say her Maman's secret recipe leaves the Southern Shady Ladies feeling a little wobbly--hell, they can't walk straight if you must know!

And to think the town was a bit on the quiet side before they arrived. Not anymore and they just aren't out looking for some ole peckerwood, either.

This is the first in a series. Two to three books per year and product lines in development as well as events.
