Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Spanische Sprache, Literatur, Landeskunde, Note: 1,3, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Romanistik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der spanischen Literaturgeschichte umfasst der Begriff Barock im Wesentlichen die Literatur seit Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts bis etwa Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts. In diesem Zeitraum wurden Stimmung und Lebensgefühl der Menschen in der literarischen Produktion in Europa widergespiegelt. In Spanien begann die Herrschaft von Philipp II. bereits in der zweiten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts. Eine seitdem enorme staatliche Kontrolle, die das öffentliche, aber auch private Leben betraf, prägte das religiöse und politische Verhalten der Bevölkerung. Die Religion dominierte nicht nur den Alltag der Menschen, sondern auch die Schriften der Autoren dieser Epoche. Staatskrisen und ein sowohl ökonomisch als auch politischer Niedergang belastete Spanien und seine Bevölkerung. Auch im Hinblick auf den Dreißigjährigen Krieg, der 1648 sein Ende nahm und an dem einige Länder Europas, unter anderem auch Spanien, beteiligt waren, bestimmten Angst und Zerstörung das Leben der Menschen. Dieses herrschende Lebensgefühl fand auch in der spanischen Literatur ihren Ausdruck. Die von Angst, Gewalt und Hoffnung ergriffenen Dichter prägten die Lyrik mit typischen Leitmotiven, die gerade dieses Lebensgefühl veranschaulichen sollten. Neben einer Vielzahl an religiösen Dichtungen und Schäferdichtungen, sowie die Lyrik zu Themen der Todesangst und des Lebenshungers, war auch die Liebe in der barocken Lyrik ein großes Thema. Schon im 15. Jahrhundert machte sich der Einfluss der italienischen Literatur bemerkbar. Sowohl Frankreichs, Deutschlands als auch Spaniens Lyriker rezipierten und imitierten Werke Dantes und Petrarcas, welches bedeutende Namen der italienischen Literatur waren.
