Reinhold Friedrich M.A., Jahrgang 1944, lebt in Munchen und Schliersee. Er stu-dierte in Munchen Geschichte, Germanistik und Erziehungswissenschaften. Es folgte eine langjahrige Tatigkeit mit diversen Veroffentlichungen in der Lehrerausbildung als Seminarleiter an einem Munchner Gymnasium. Der Schlierseer Gegend ist er nicht zuletzt durch eine mehrjahrige Tatigkeit am Gymnasium Miesbach verbunden, auf die diese Untersuchung zuruckgeht.Schliersee war in den Jahren des Nationalsozialismus keine gewohnliche Landgemeinde. Schon 1938 konnte die dortige Ortsgruppe der NSDAP ihr funfzehnjahriges Bestehen feiern und der zustandige Kreisleiter stolz eine nationalsozialistische Mustergemeinde prasentieren. Wie es wirklich war und dass Vieles unter der offiziellen Decke verborgen blieb, zeigt ein Blick in die Spruchkammerakten und anderes Das Spektrum reicht vom still duldenden Zeugen Jehovas uber opponierende Trachtenvereinsmitglieder bis hin zu parteiinternen Intrigen. Opposition regte sich vor allem in der benachbarten Bergbaugemeinde Hausham, die immer ein »roter« Dorn im Fleisch der NSDAP blieb.Der braune Kult um das Gefallenendenkmal des Freikorps Oberland und der Betrieb in der Schule der SA-Gruppe Hochland sorgten schon fruh fur eine uberregionale Ausstrahlung Schliersees im nationalsozialistischen Bayern. Als sich dann noch die prominenten Reichsminister Hans Frank, Heinrich Himmler und Otto Meißner hier mit Landsitzen und Jagdhausern niederließen, war auch die Verzahnung mit der großen nationalsozialistischen Welt Berlins gegeben. In diesem Kosmos fehlten nicht die Schattenseiten, denn den Herren folgten die Knechte. In diesem Fall waren das die Haftlinge der Außenkommandos, die das Konzentrationslager Dachau hier betrieb.Erganzt wird diese Studie durch eine fotografische Dokumentation der behandelten Bauten der NS-Zeit sowie exemplarische archivalische Materialien.
