About the Book

Transform difficulties into flow with this interactive guide to your inner life.

We all encounter times in our lives when things just aren't working. We lose a sense of purpose, peace, joy, and flow. We find ourselves in conflict with people and situations but don't know how to move forward. For meditation educator Peter Bonanno, the first step is counterintuitive: to slow down, turn toward the discomfort, and find within it the gems of wisdom that bring you back into flow.

Start Here offers a series of guided exercises framed by a conversation between two stick-figure friends on a journey to explore and understand their inner lives. Readers physically touch the pages in step-by-step contemplations designed to settle the mind, tap the body's intelligence, and transform conflict into flow. Each "practice map" takes us on a journey to understand a different aspect of inner life--and how attention to this area transforms the way we think, feel, act, and live. It has never been easier or more fun to learn the mind-body practices that bring us into alignment with the flow of life.

This unique, hands-on approach to contemplative practice is both a charming mini-course in meditative awareness and a practical guide to transforming life situations for greater freedom, flow, and joy.
