About the Book

A book about the stories told to my father upon our last meeting. As a professional musician and union president, he came in contact with a variety of individuals. Each experience I had to witness his interaction resulted in not only understanding more about the world, but I also learning about my father's desire for attention. It rubbed off, needless to say, and that has made most of the difference in my life.
About the Author: JD Guse writes books like his mother had babies - two in quick succession and others as they come to him or by mistake. While he still works a full time job, he manages to complete research for upcoming writing adventures and occasionally spends vacations and weekends frantically getting his thought down on paper. JD spent several years as a classical musician, a radar operator (including space radar), a recruiter, an adult education teacher, an instructional designer, a human resource manager, an elementary school teacher, and a military veteran representative before deciding he should write some of his findings down. He's not torn by a desire to be recognized or complimented for what he writes, but he is more prone to listen to other people's stories about how they grew up or what they discovered in life. He's an avid history buff and a firm lover of vibrant music that captures his imagination. He often sits through the credits of a movie just to hear the overture play from beginning to end without interruption. JD lives with his lovely bride, Frieda, in a part of the United States that never seems to get cold. With five young adults between them, they enjoy seeing their five grandchildren in the various places that are cold.
