Der durch Störungen hervorgerufene Ausfall von Lernzeit ist hierbei um ein Vielfaches höher als der krankheitsbedingte Unterrichtsausfall. Laut Keller besteht eine Unterrichtsstunde in Deutschland zu 65% aus Lehr- und Lerntätigkeiten. Die übrigen 35% werden genutzt, um Ruhe und Disziplin herzustellen. Unterrichtsstörungen an sich gefährden dabei nicht nur die Wirksamkeit des Unterrichts, sondern auch die Gesundheit der Lehrer. Ein notwendiges Maß an Disziplin zu generieren und aufrechtzuerhalten, ist eine der schwierigsten Aufgaben im Lehrerberuf. In der Literatur wir hierbei von Diziplinmanagment gesprochen. Diese Hausarbeit beschäftigt sich schwerpunktmäßig mit Unterrichtsstörungen. Bevor explizit auf dieses Thema eingegangen wird, wird zunächst die Praktikumsschule vorgestellt. Anschließend rücken verschiedene Definitionsansätze und Klassifikationsmöglichkeiten in den Fokus. Im weiteren Verlauf stehen Ursachen und Interventionsmöglichkeiten im Mittelpunkt. Abschließend erfolgt eine Reflexion des Praktikums.
