About the Book

About the Author: Suntke Garbe, geb. 1970, Diplom Kulturmanager, lebt und arbeitet in Hamburg. Nach Abitur, Zivildienst und anfänglichem Soziologiestudium an der Universität Hamburg, widmete er sich zunächst der Musik. Er veröffentlichte eigene Kompositionen sowie diverse Produktionen und Remixe für befreundete Künstler. Die anschließende Entwicklung vom Künstler zum Kulturmanager erfolgte bei ihm schrittweise, indem er zunächst als Texter und Konzepter in einer Werbeagentur tätig war, eine Independent-Plattenfirma gründete, einen Kulturverein aufbaute und als freiberuflicher Eventmanager arbeitete. Während seines späteren Studiums an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg war er bereits hauptberuflicher Projektleiter für die HipHop Academy Hamburg, einem gemeinnützigen Projekt der Stiftung Kulturpalast Hamburg. Seither arbeitet er in unterschiedlichen Profit- und Nonprofit-Kulturorganisationen als Projektleiter.
