Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich BWL - Beschaffung, Produktion, Logistik, Note: 2,0, Hochschule Wismar, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Ausarbeitung soll einen Überblick über die Prozesse sowie Wirkungsweisen des Supply Chain Managements vermitteln. Aufgrund dessen wird vorerst das Supply Chain Management definiert und näher erläutert. Anschließend wird auf die Supply-Chain-Prozesse eingegangen und ebenso auf die Warenströme. Um die Fragestellung näher erläutern zu können werden zwei Fallbeispiele bezüglich des Supply Chain Management dargestellt. Hierbei wird die Modemarke Zara näher erläutert sowie das Supply Chain Management im Lebensmittelhandel. In der globalen Herausforderung der Arbeitswelt und die Veränderung der Rahmenbedingungen kommt es zu Beginn des neuen Jahrhunderts. Hierbei stehen die Unternehmen, insbesondere die industriellen Unternehmen vor neuen Aufgaben. In den meisten Fällen reicht die Differenzierung über das Produkt nicht mehr aus, um den verschärften Konkurrenzkampf standzuhalten. Es lässt sich sagen, dass die immer komplexer werdenden Firmennetzwerke neue, zeitgemäße anpassungsfähige Geschäftsprozesse erfordern, um die wettbewerbsfähige Kostenstrukturen zu erreichen. In der heutigen Zeit ist zu beobachten, dass sich das Handlungsumfeld von diversen Unternehmen grundsätzlich gewandelt hat, da es dynamischer, unvorhersehbarer sowie turbulenter geworden ist. Zudem bilden die Entwicklungen im globalen Wettbewerb lösungsorientierte Dienstleistungen für den Kunden und ein ganzheitliches Kostenmanagement des langfristigen Erfolgsgaranten. Dementsprechend müssen die globalen, unternehmensübergreifenden Konzepte sowie die internen fertigungs- und Logistikprozesse kundenauftragsorientiert und kostenminimal ablaufen, so dass mit den geringsten Mitteln der Kundennutzen maximiert werden kann.
