About the Author: Born in Sweden; living in the USA since 2001 PIZZA MAKER In 1977, when I was a young man living in Sweden, I helped Signor Rafael Trifiletti from Naples, Italy, to find a location for his first Swedish pizza restaurant. Today, 40 years later, that pizzeria is still going strong. After having found this great location, Rafael told me if I ever was going to start my own pizzeria I should come to him to learn his recipe - a dough recipe from Naples, his birthplace and the birthplace of traditional pizza making. In 1983, I contacted Signor Trifiletti, as I was going to open up my first pizzeria. Since then - being both an artist and someone who really enjoys making pizza - I have taken this recipe to a new level of perfection. By now, I have opened three pizzerias, two in Sweden and one in Elroy, Wisconsin. And I have personally baked and sold more than 100.000 pizzas PAINTER I create pictures using my life experiences, often mingled with my present inner feelings and a kind of Scandinavian simplicity of design. The title is placed beneath the image to let the words interact with the design above - the viewer's brain then produces the full picture. How long does it take me to make one of my pieces? A lifetime - all my experiences have shaped the way I create. Looking back at my art, I realize that many of the individual pieces are time documents of my whereabouts in life. This is the way I paint. Each piece is original. And just like my life, it never gets boring... INNOVATOR I invented a pizza kit in 2008, when I had a pizzeria in Elroy, Wisconsin. Then I bought the service of an international press release. Don't ask me why... but I did. An online magazine in New York wrote about it and a Swedish newspaper interviewed me. Up to this time there was no pizza kits around. I take "credit" for being the one starting that. Then I also, without understanding the significance of it at the time, created pizza screens. That I did in 1983. In 1989 Chicago Metal Craft started to manufacture their version of it. Pizza screens changes the way pizzas can be made to the better. Pizza ovens with stone as a surface to bake pizzas on directly is a bad idea. As it burns the bottom of the pizza. simple as that... Doesn't matter what you call the oven and what heating technique you use, or how much you paid for it... & ENTREPRENEUR All of the above makes me an entrepreneur..... This book is about living life, doing what you like, despite obstacles
