Facharbeit (Schule) aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Musikwissenschaft, Note: 1, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ich mache in meiner Freizeit viel Musik, darunter auch viel Jazz und wollte schon immer die Hintergründe wissen: Die Geschichte, Entstehung, Besonderheiten und Künstler. Nachdem ich viel gelesen habe, über den Swing und dem Jazz, finde ich, dass der Jazz eine gewaltige Kraft für den Frieden und das Verständnis zwischen Nationen und Völkern ist. In der realen Welt, also in der Praxis, ist diese Musik für mich befreiend, es inspiriert mich, verleitet mich immer und immer wieder ins Staunen, was für Möglichkeiten und Varianten es gibt und es gibt mir sehr viel Raum für Improvisation, für das freie spielen nach Lust und Laune. Ich wünschte, ich könnte beschreiben, was für ein Gefühl es wirklich ist, Jazz zu spielen, aber ich weiß nicht wie. Ich finde es schade, dass der Jazz heutzutage an Popularität verliert hat. Viele Jugendliche sind nicht daran interessiert, sie haben das Wort Jazz oder Swing schon oft gehört, wissen aber nicht, was das wirklich ist bzw. wie es sich anhört und welche Merkmale die jeweiligen Stilrichtungen haben. Ich möchte mit dieser Facharbeit neben dem Erfüllen der Pflicht, als Schüler in der 9.Klasse eine Facharbeit zu schreiben, auch auf Informationen stoßen, die meine Freunde und Familie vielleicht auch interessieren könnte. Dabei habe ich eine Problemfragen aufgestellt, - Warum ist Swing die bekannteste und populärste Jazzstilrichtung? - und mir bestimmte wichtige Themen herausgesucht und die ich gegliedert habe. Anschließend habe ich mir aus den Büchern und aus dem Internet, die wichtigsten Informationen, in Stichpunkte aufgeschrieben. Es sind auch Zitate enthalten, da ich viele Texte nicht umschreiben konnte.
