About the Book

Die Marketing- und Managementfunktionen eines intern geschlossenen und für die Vernetzung mit internationalen Marktpartnern offenen Warenwirtschaftssystems durch die durchgängige artikelgenaue Erfassung der Waren-, Geld- und Informa- tionsströme erlaubt den Abruf von Entscheidungsvorbereitungs-, Planungs-, Steue- rungs- und Überwachungsinformationen zur strategischen und operativen Führung des Kerngeschäftes eines internationalen Handelsunternehmens. Angestrebt wird die optimale Steuerung durch Reduzierung bisher schwerfällig zu handhabender, kom- plexer internationaler Informationsströme. Die für unüberwindbar gehaltenen Gren- zen liegen nicht mehr in der Hardware sondern in der Entwicklung adäquater Struk- turen und geeigneter Software. Die Voraussetzung dafür bilden international aus- gerichtete Systemanalysen einer internationalen Warenwirtschaft. Aus aktueller An- wendersicht gilt es, einheitliche Niveaus und Standards auf der Applikationsebene internationaler Handelsunternehmen zu implementieren um nachhaltige Informa- tions- und damit internationale Wettbewerbsvorteile für internationale Handelsun- ternehmen aufzubauen.
