About the Book

The Vatican's famous 'Giuseppe Momo Staircase' as well as its 'Necropolis' ('City of the Dead') are just two of the 45 exciting locations waiting to be explored in Book #3; the latest exciting episode of the 'Federal Rapid Response Unit' series titled: 'Tales From...St. Peter's Basement'. In author Angelo Spagnolo's latest, compelling screenplay (all it needs now is a major studio) the former members of the now badly-fractured 'Unit One' team learn just how tough being stuck in Egypt's infamous Tora Mazraa Prison can be. Meanwhile, things aren't going any better back home in the states either as the newly-elected President Richard Stafford, along with his megalomaniac, White House Chief-of-Staff, Wülf Somner, continue to turn the White House, America, the Catholic Church, the Middle East and sadly, even the rest of the entire world... completely on its collective head! This third book also demonstrates, beyond the shadow of any doubt, how just a couple evil people in a position of power can push the fate of the entire world into the direction of a seemingly-inescapable abyss of a black hole. It also clearly demonstrates how freedoms we routinely take so much for granted can disappear overnight as well as further reinforces that today, possibly more than any other time in our country's history, we must be more vigilant than ever in protecting our freedoms. One thing is also for certain about this story: by the time you've finished reading this third exciting screenplay you'll be dying for the next installment (already in production and due out in late October, 2017) and if you haven't already done so, you'll go back and pick up copies of 'The Heroes of La Palma' and 'Kecksburg Doppelganger Effect'. All three volumes are available at amazon.com, keywords: books by Angelo Spagnolo.
About the Author: 'Tales From...St. Peter's basement' is author, Angelo Spagnolo's, fourth published work. His first effort was the 2013 quite-humorous golf autobiography titled 'Life's an Unplayable Lie'. In it he documented his 25-year career and sojourn as 'America's Worst Avid Golfer', a title he more than earned after years of futile play, back in 1985. Following his success with his first writing effort, he decided to dive into fiction writing by penning his first screenplay in 2014, an action-adventure titled 'The Heroes of La Palma'. This book was the first in a series dubbed, 'The Federal Rapid Response Unit', about a top-secret counter-terrorism unit founded by former-President George W. Bush in the aftermath of 9/11. No sooner was this first screenplay in print when he had the immediate inspiration for his second story in the 'F.R.R.U.' series, the October, 2015-released, 'Kecksburg Doppelganger Effect'. Ironically-enough this story made its way into print just two months prior to the 50th anniversary of this incident...one of the greatest, unsolved-mysteries in the history of the United States. The follow-up to 'Kecksburg' came with the October 31, 2016 release of his latest action-thriller: 'Tales From St. Peter's Basement'. Spagnolo, is a retired former supermarket owner-operator who earned a Journalism & Communications degree from Point Park College (now University) in Pittsburgh back in 1976. "I spent a few years in the newspaper business, but the bulk of my career came in the form of running our family's supermarket business. Now that I've retired from the organized chaos that is supermarketing, I'm really pleased to be blessed with not just a vivid imagination, but also a lifetime's-worth of experiences. As I can vividly remember, my grandfather and dad were both great story-tellers in their day, so I have great lineage going for me in that regard. But I've managed to take my inherited story-telling capabilities one step further...I can put my tales into an exciting, readable format that you won't want to put down. 'Tales From...St. Peter's Basement' is my third foray into screenplay writing and I now feel that I've found something that I truly love to do. The only thing that I ask is that you don't hesitate to get started! So jump on board and enjoy this wild ride but keep your seatbelts fastened and your arms inside the ride at all times!"
