About the Author: Ute Steinheber (geb. 1956) studierte an der PH Freiburg i.Br. und in Paris. Sie arbeitete insgesamt 28 Jahre im Schuldienst von Baden-Württemberg, unterbrochen vor einer 9-jährigen Erziehungszeit während der sie u.a. drei internationale Sprachdiplome erwarb. Sie war als Handicap-Schwimmerin erfolgreich und ist bis heute als Funktionärin und Fachübungsleiterin, Referentin und Fortbildnerin in Sport, Sprachkursen und im kulturellen Leben aktiv. Sie ist Mitglied des Bundesvorstandes des Familienverbandes Familienarbeit e.V. und dessen Europadelegierte in zwei NGO-Institutionen mit beratendem Status im europäischen Parlament und der UN.
