Dramaturgia Asturiana. Textos rescatados; 60 En la comedia musical "Culín de sidra" (ca.1937) Dimas, hijo de un rico comerciante de Ciaño, frecuenta una sidrería que atiende una Rosina, consciente de que su clase social ha de depararle a alguien como Xuanón. Finalmente la vida se convertirá en una celebración con el público, algo muy común en la colonia boanerense, en la que obras como ésta eran una excusa para festejar sus raíces asturianas. La opereta "La alcaldesa de Gijón" (1940) describe, en clave de humor, el asalto de las tropas de Pedro I a un Gijón, defendido por un tal Pero Carrillo, un caballero leal a Enrique de Trastámara, y presenta 14 números influidos por el fox, la revista, la opereta vienesa y la comedia musical, pero también por la música popular asturiana. En "Nelín de la Romía" (1942) sus autores nos presentan unos amores entre Rosario y un pobre Nelín, abandonado por su padre, que tiene que irse a La Habana a hacer fortuna para regresar con el derecho que ahora le niegan. Aunque no conocemos el feliz final, sabemos que su padre le ha dejado una herencia, y que regresa, cual deus ex machina, para solucionarlo todo. "Ya se van los quintos, madre" (ca. 1955) trascurre en un ambiente tabernario en vísperas de que los mozos se incorporen a la guerra del Rif. En ella aparecen un tíu Migiu, comentarista del acontecer del pueblo, un Celipe, calzonazos, y Nel, que lo ha perdido todo por la bebida, después de que su novia lo abandonase. El final es coral, y acaba con el baile de la rueda. La incompleta zarzuela "Amores de aldea" (1961) presenta a Rosina y Ricardo, que ha abandonado la mina para trabajar cerca de ella. Cuando llega un inquietante cantor vagabundo, a Bastián, el abuelo de Rosina, no le gusta esa letra que encierra tragedias, y le hace desconfiar, por lo que se va a atender su hacienda, mientras Rosina insinúa su amor a Ricardo, más enamorado de una tierra que no le engaña, y Ángel, un señorito veraneante, la pretende. A este conflicto amoroso, se añadirá el de un grupo de mineros que requiere su mediación en un conflicto minero, por lo que éste tendrá que enfrentarse a sus miedos y despedirse de los campos y de Rosina, que ve de nuevo aparecer a aquel cantor, caminante del dolor.
