Fachhochschule Landshut, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Rahmen dieser Bachelorarbeit soll untersucht werden, wie sich der Bedarf des Technologie-Scoutings zusammensetzt, welche theoretischen Konzepte und Methoden bereits in der Literatur vorhanden sind und anschließend anhand des Beispiels der Deutschen Telekom AG gezeigt werden, wie das Technologie-Scouting in der Praxis gestaltet werden kann. Der durch die Globalisierung und die fortschreitende Digitalisierung ansteigende Wettbewerbsdruck stellt viele Unternehmen vor enorme Herausforderungen. Diese beinhalten unter anderem, die steigenden Kundenerwartungen an die Produktqualität zu erfüllen und zugleich innerhalb eines aggressiven Preiswettkampfes Produkte und Dienstleistungen zu marktgerechten Preisen anzubieten. Eine der zentralen Bedrohungen für die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit eines Unternehmens in vielen Branchen besteht jedoch darin, langfristige Technologietrends oder disruptive Technologien zu spät oder gar nicht zu erkennen. Vor allem in Zeiten der digitalen Wirtschaft und Big Data, in welcher neue Technologien bzw. Innovationen schneller als je zuvor entstehen, gewinnt das Innovationspotential eines Unternehmens immer mehr an Bedeutung. Zudem sorgen verkürzte Entwicklungs- und Produktlebenszyklen dafür, dass Unternehmen zum einen den Aufwand für Forschung und Entwicklung erheblich erhöhen müssen, und zum anderen, dass Wettbewerbsvorteile durch innovative Technologien nur von kurzer Dauer sind. Um sich in dieser neuen Situation behaupten zu können reicht es deswegen nicht mehr aus sich nur auf interne Ressourcen zu fokussieren. "In a world of abundant knowledge, not all smart people work for you" (Chesbrough). Mit diesem Satz soll die Notwendigkeit für Unternehmen verdeutlicht werden, ihre Unternehmensgrenzen für externe Technologien und Ideen
