About the Author: Yacov Reisman MD, PhD, FECSM, ECPS. Urologist, sexologist, lecturer, honorary professor, and currently medical director of Flare-Health institute in Amstelveen, senior lecturer of Clinical Sexology at the postgraduate institute RINO-Amsterdam and co-director of the European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM) School of Sexual Medicine. He has more than 20 years of clinical experience focusing on sexual dysfunctions in males and females. In 1998 received his PhD thesis on diagnostic tools and objective medical decisions. He is the past-president of the ESSM, co-founder and past-president of the multidisciplinary joint committee of sexual medicine of the UEMS, for which he received Silver Decoration of Honour. He is honorary and visiting Professor for urology of the Russian Federal Institute of Urology, Moscow and of the Shanghai Institute of Andrology of the Medical School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is co-editor of several books a.o. Cancer, Intimacy and Sexuality (Springer). Authors of more than 20 book chapters and co-author of more than 80 peer-reviewed articles.
Lior Lowenstein, MD, MS, MHA, MBA, FECSM. Associate Professor in Gynecology, division director of Gynecology in Galilee Medical Center. Following completion of residency in Gynecology, Prof. Lowenstein did a year fellowship at Loyola University in Chicago in Urogynecology. During this period Prof Lowenstein acquired experience in advanced surgical techniques, including robotic surgeries and neurostimulation implantation for pelvic pain and bladder dysfunction. Upon returning back to Israel, Prof. Lowenstein joined the Technion school of medicine as a faculty member. He is active in teaching and research in the field of sexual medicine and gynaecology. For the last 6 years Prof. Lowenstein is a member of the educational committee of the ESSM and the scientific committee and currently acting as the treasure of the ESSM. Prof. Lowenstein is involved in the educational activities, including editing the second version of the manual book of sexual medicine. He published more than 180 articles in peer review journals and 14 chapters in different medical books. He is also serving as a member of executive committee of the Israeli urogynecolgy society.
Francesca Tripodi, PsyD, ECPS. Psychotherapist, clinical sexologist, lecturer and clinical supervisor, working at the Institute of Clinical Sexology in Rome. Her 25-years clinical experience focuses primarily on sexual dysfunction and couple therapy. Since 2013, she is co-director and lecturer at the ESSM School of Sexual Medicine. Co-founder of International Online Sexology Supervisors (IOSS). Current member of the ESSM Educational and Scientific Committees, the European Accreditation of Psycho-sexology (EPSA), the EFS Executive and Educational Committees. Author of more than 100 publications in the field. She is co-editor of the "EFS and ESSM Syllabus of Clinical Sexology (2014) and the "ESSM Manual of Sexual Medicine" (2015).
