Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Französisch - Linguistik, Note: 1-2, Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen (Institut für Romanistik), Veranstaltung: Grundlagen der Textlinguistik, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Thema "Textverstehen und Textverständlichkeit" gilt innerhalb der Linguistik und angrenzenden Wissenschaften als Klassiker und ist im Bereich der sogenannten Verständlichkeitsforschung anzusiedeln. Seit den 70er Jahren wenden sich Forscher vermehrt diesem Thema zu, sodass in den 70er und 80er Jahren zahlreiche Arbeiten entstanden sind. Der Begriff des Textverstehens steht für die Bereiche der Forschung, die sich mit den Verstehensprozessen von Menschen befassen, d.h. es geht um die Frage, wie Verstehen funktioniert und wodurch es beeinflusst wird. Historisch gesehen geht der Begriff des Textverstehens auf die Hermeneutik zurück, in deren Rahmen das Problem des Verstehens und Auslegens von Texten schon in den vergangenen Jahrhunderten im Zentrum des theoretischen und praktischen Interesses gestanden hat. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit soll die Tradition der Hermeneutik jedoch zugunsten der Kognitionswissenschaft vernachlässigt werden, da letztere die Hermeneutik weitgehend ignoriert, indem sie sich eher als szientifische Wissenschaft versteht. Mit der Entwicklung einer fachübergreifenden Kognitionswissenschaft wird dabei die Frage nach der theoretischen Erklärung der in Prozessen des Sprachverstehens eingebundenen kognitiven Strukturen zu einem zentralen Problem. Im Gegensatz zum Textverstehen ist der Begriff der Textverständlichkeit auf die Verständlichkeit von Texten ausgerichtet. Dabei geht es um die Frage, welche Texteigenschaften das Verständnis eines Textes erleichtern bzw. erschweren und wie man Texte in der Praxis optimieren kann. Die Verständlichkeitsforschung gewinnt also sowohl durch die Hermeneutik als auch durch die Kognitionswissenschaft eine theoretische Basis des Textverstehens, von der aus praktische Fragen zur Textverständlic
