About the Book

The Pharaoh Khufu built the pyramids for himself, so I think I'm allowed to write a second poetry book.

The poems in this book are a little bit more personal, not in the "I reveal juicy controversial childhood secrets" kind of way, but in the "why are you even telling me about these banal childhood anecdotes" kind of way, and I mean that in the best possible way.

It's about pro wrestling, feeling butts, rituals becoming routines, cats, potato chips as a metaphor for love, Slavic food, buildings in Mahanoy City that got torn down 15 years ago, and how kids from Mahanoy Area are jerks.

Do I have your attention now?

No? Oh. Ok.
About the Author: Tyler is a straight cisgender white middle-class millennial male who have never known love, so he's not allowed to complain or be excited about anything in his whitebread life, which makes it really hard to write poems with emotions that aren't anything but general apathetic neutrality, so this is the best you're getting.

He enjoys petting cats, seeing sunsets, and putting back other people's shopping carts that they left in the parking lot mere meters from the shopping cart drop-off zone.

Tyler went on a date with a girl to a used bookstore last year and bought a new copy of Munchkin for them to play on their next date, but she ghosted him a week later and he just wants someone to buy his copy of the game on eBay so it can stop taunting him every time he opens his closet.

He recently read a book about zazen meditation and bought a zafu and zabuton cushion to try it out himself, so he'll let you know how that goes.

Tyler bought Hawaii and Alaska license plates off eBay a few weeks ago, which turned into his buying all 50 states and 6 territories, too. However, he can't find Puerto Rico for under $60, so if you see one for cheaper, can you let him know?

He currently is a 5th grade teacher in Virginia where he is playing the long-con of trying to make the future suck less by shaping the minds of 50 students per year. Check back in 8 years when they can vote to see how he has done.
