Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Deutsch - Literatur, Werke, Note: 1,7, FernUniversität Hagen (Kulturwissenschaften), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die unvollendet gebliebenen "Bekenntnisse des Hochstaplers Felix Krull" von 1954 stellen das letzte Werk von Thomas Mann dar. Im Roman geht es um einen fiktiven Hochstapler, der in autobiographischer Form sein Leben erzählt und analysiert. Eine der bedeutendsten Quellen für die "Bekenntnisse" ist die Autobiographie des rumänischen Hochstaplers Georges Manolescu (1871 - 1911), der in Europa, Amerika und Japan zu einiger Berühmtheit gelangte und dessen Memoiren 1905 unter dem Titel "Ein Fürst der Diebe" in deutscher Sprache erschienen. Als weitere Quelle gilt ebenso Goethes "Dichtung und Wahrheit". Aufgrund des Illusionscharakters "Bekenntnisse des Hochstaplers Felix Krull" und der zudem offenkundigen Kriminalität des Protagonisten steht der Roman in einem scharfen Gegensatz zu Goethes poetischer Selbstbiographie. Deren wesentlicher Bezugspunkt ist die (vermeintliche) Wahrheit des Geschriebenen und der Autor als identifizierbares Ich das offenkundige Referenzobjekt der Biographie Die "Bekenntnisse des Hochstaplers Felix Krull" erscheinen dabei als Stilparodie der literarischen Autobiographie Goethes, wobei der Bildungsoptimismus des Bildungsromans, wie er charakteristisch ist für Goethes "Dichtung und Wahrheit", dadurch karikiert wird, dass Thomas Mann einen Kriminellen zum Protagonisten macht. Die parodistischen Elemente bis in sprachliche Details hinein verfolgen lassen. In dieser Arbeit geht es um eben diese karikierende Überhöhung der vermeintlichen Wahrheit einer literarischen Selbstbiographie und die sich daraus ergebende Fiktionalisierung der angeblichen Authentizität der Lebensbekenntnisse eines Hochstaplers.
