A middle aged woman, Chiane, who has no roots of her own since being abandoned at birth, embarks on a quest to find out who she really is. Growing up was hard for someone who was seen to be 'different', but this did not put Chiane down, instead it gave her the strength to stand out from the crowd and do her own thing. Having had precognitive dreams since a child, she is guided by her dream mentor, Izacal and undertakes many adventures. Her journey starts in the Caribbean, where she is shown a view of humanity from time began to the present day, events that will change her life forever. On returning home, Chiane along with her old friend, Dusty, set off on their travels again, this time in Mexico, deep in the jungle of the Yucatan, where the pair find themselves involved in intrigue and mystery that nearly costs them their lives. Leaving Mexico, they are given a task to fulfil, to deliver an object to its rightful keeper and in doing so they learn the truth about the ancient Mayan 2012 Prophesy. About the Author: Susan D Shevlane born in 1953 is the mother of 6 children, and grandma of 12 grandchildren, lives in the Midlands in England, also spending time in Texas with her brother, using the tranquil setting to write. Her childhood was spent on a farm in rural Lincolnshire, where her love of nature was realized. Along with reading, art and writing, her hobbies include dancing and drama, charitable fundraising and cultural studies. Susan has also sponsored two third world children. Writing poetry and short stories from an early age, Susan has been published in the International Library of poetry, gained an Editor's Choice award and was nominated for a poetry award in New York. Susan writes articles on a writer's website on topics such as Humanities, Religion & Philosophy and has had success with her poetry. Susan has spent time as a journalist on a community newspaper, "The Inner Nottingham Gazette". Having many articles published about local events, cultural diversities, politics and stories about people from all aspects of life, she has worked as an outreach worker for adult computer technology learners, providing students with work experience placements with local employers, and providing basic skills education in the workplace. Susan loves to travel, meeting indigenous people to learn about their ancient cultures. Susan is launching her first novel after being encouraged to do so from people familiar with her work.
