About the Book

In book one of the series, Sam Harkins, a young man living in modern-day Seattle, discovers he's in 1930-90 years away from home. Wounded, confused and stalked by a serial killer, he's on the run again. Ruth Riley, a rural farm girl, arrives in town with a sewing machine and the clothes on her back. Determined to make good, but frustrated in her search for work, she soon learns the word "seamstress" is a euphemism for prostitute. Desperate, discouraged and penniless, she meets Sam on her first night working in a bordello. Separated by nine decades, can their budding love survive? Behind the scenes, a pair of time agents frantically try to recapture Sam while repairing the time threads he's shredded, but will their patches hold? Millions of lives depend on it.
About the Author: WR Vaughn has been a storyteller from a very early age-perhaps from the time he had to explain why he was presenting his mom with a bunch of her own prized tulips. More recently, his furtive imagination has spawned The Seldith Chronicles, a series of young adult books that follow the lives, exploits and challenges of a clan of forest elves no taller than a mushroom. In December of 2014, William published his latest novel, The Timkers, a new adult (NA) novel that follows Sam, a troubled young man running from the police only to find himself transported to 1930 where he meets the love of his life-only to be forced to leave her behind when the time police, the Timkers catch up with him. Before his fiction-writing career, William travelled the world as an Army brat and then as a technical speaker, mentor and award-winning technical author. He's recognized and respected all over the world in countries where his books have been translated into six languages. William is also an avid nature photographer and graphics artist. In 1986, he settled in Redmond, Washington at the edge of a forest teeming with story ideas.
