About the Book

English summary: The collected articles in this volume explore the notion of public and private spaces in literature from early modern France, from the Roman de Tristan to the Marquis de Sade. Following current debates on the ontology of the dialectic of public and private, these studies show double effects of these two notions when represented in Romanesque literature, insisting on the interstitial space that exists within this genre.
