Dragged beneath the waters, they never surfaced again.
Their eerie cries served as a metaphor for their horrifying demise.
They were concealed from view by the deep blue waters, like shadows lying in wait.
They attack with their keen claws.
Sharp teeth severing flesh,
Human flesh being devoured by eager jaws.
One of the terrible beasts grabbed Cally and dragged him under the sea. However, vicious claws did not consume her or tear her to pieces.
She was held prisoner.

Her senses are invaded by water right away. Her nose and lungs burn, and her eyes sting. She thrashes, kicks, and claws in an attempt to escape. Her body begins to progressively shut down, quickly replacing the air in her lungs with sea water, so all of her attempts are in vain.
Cally faintly remembers feeling arms encircling her waist and behind her head just before she passes out and is enveloped in darkness.
She is thus claimed.
