MISSION III; SHOWDOWN AT NORMANDY includes a great deal of factual information about World War II, the most destructive conflict the world has ever experienced. Despite what we see on television, hear on radio, and read in the printed press, I believe that the United States of America is more peaceful and safer than any other place in the world. However, I also believe that in the volatile world we live in, it is blatantly naïve for our children not to be aware of the potential dangers that may threaten our way of life. For better and worse, history has always proven to be an accurate teacher. When we learn the lessons that only The Past can teach, mankind has always gone forward into The Future better than those who came previously. In MISSION III; SHOWDOWN AT NORMANDY our 11 year-old hero must confront the key events of World War II very much like every American soldier did defending against ruthless aggressors that threatened his way of life. He has no other choice to remain free from tyranny and destruction. He has never used a weapon before, been in places where he is a total stranger, and, most importantly, has never been hated by anyone. As in the real life of any first-time warrior, our fictitious young hero, Michael Geldman, must discover the "magic" of his own emotions, cunning, and sense of purpose. Only with that at work he transform into the battle-hardened Timekeeper-self of his Grandpa Dave and work with the ever-present, versatile, and magical Zandarana to successfully encounter every diabolical plan the evil Mentor devises.
