About the Author: 1500 years after 'zero' was invented in India, Jayagovind was born in the same land. This multi-generational connection to the number stuck with him from childhood as he boasted of his talent to answer the multiplication of any number with zero in a jiffy. However, his teachers were unimpressed, so he set out on the adventure of learning the remaining tables the hard way - with a Times Tables book. His adventures continued as he went on to graduate from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum, and pursue post-graduation from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. After working for 15 years with a large bank, he co-founded WindowSeat (windowseat.ai), a children's book and game subscription service, to facilitate child learning through fun.
And then... he was reminded of his childhood 'times' when he overheard his kids' online math classes. He helped the kids break the times tables down into smaller chunks, adding some easy-to-memorize tricks. Knowing that stories are a great medium to convey concepts to children, he set out to create this book, to help many more children realize that all tables are as easy as the table of zero (well, almost).
