„Treffen mit Sara“ entstand in einem Wohnzimmer in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Hier erzahlte Sara Bialas, die als Stefania Sliwka geboren wurde, ihre Lebensgeschichte; so bildlich und fesselnd, so bewegend und schockierend, so amusant und irritierend, d sie weitererzahlt werden muss. Sie hat als Einzige ihrer Familie die nationalsozialistische Verfolgung, Deportation und Zwangsarbeit uberlebt. Sie hat Kinder geboren, obwohl ihr die Fahigkeit dazu genommen werden sollte. Sie hat die Deutschen verabscheut und sich Deutschland trotzdem auf ihre Weise genahert. Die Gestalterin Lena Muller wurde fur ihr Abschlussprojekt im Fachbereich Grafikdesign am Lette Verein Berlin zweifach mit dem „Lette Design Award by Schindler“ ausgezeichnet. Fur die Lebenserzahlungen von Sara hat sie mit einem jungen und zeitgenossischen Blick eine neue Asthetik fur das Zeitzeugnis und die Erinnerungskultur entwickelt. Sara Bialas wurde 1927 als Stefania Sliwka in Czestochowa, Polen geboren. Ihre Eltern und ihre Schwestern fallen dem NS-Regime zum Opfer. 1941 wird Sara wahrend einer Razzia in der Wohnung ihrer Schwester entdeckt und in das Zwangsarbeiterlager Wolta-Gabersdorf, Tschechien deportiert. Hier muss sie bis zur Befreiung durch die sowjetische Armee in den Textilfabriken von He Co, Etrich und Vereinigte Textilwerke K.H Barthel Zwangsarbeit leisten, Hunger und Misshandlung erleiden. Zuruck in Czestochowa begegnet sie ihrem spaterem Ehemann Mosche Tenenberg. Im DP-Lager Ainring bei Freiling (Bayern) bringt Sara 1946 ihren Sohn Bernard zur Welt. 1947 beschließt die Familie, zu Verwandten nach Paris zu ziehen. 1948 wird ihr zweiter Sohn Robert geboren. 1949 wandern sie nach Israel aus. Hier lebt die Familie, bis sie sich 1961 genotigt sehen, das Land in Richtung DDR, nach Ost-Berlin, zu verlen. Uber die Grunde spricht sie bis heute nicht. 1975, einige Jahre nach dem Tod von Mosche Tenenberg, heiratet Sara Heinz Bialas. Sie lebt heute in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
