About the Book

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

A UNIQUE, EXCITING, NEW WAY OF READING GARCÍA LORCA, BY THE ACCLAIMED AUTHOR OF FEDERICO.

«An artist taking artwork to its highest levels.» --Andreu Buenafuente

The tragedy of amorous passion, family rivalries, infertility, sexual repression, and death are the unifying thread of Blood Wedding, Yerma, and The House of Bernarda Alba, three plays that make up the series for which Federico García Lorca has been more celebrated as a playwright. A rural trilogy in which women, the sun-scorched Andalusian countryside, and instincts are the main protagonists, coming to life in this personal and utterly original interpretation by Ilu Ros, author of the acclaimed biography Federico and "one of our best illustrators" (Manuel Rodríguez Rivero, El País.)

En 2018 publicó su primer libro, Hey Sky, I'm on my Way: A Book About Influential Women (Nueva York, Lit Riot Press).
