Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Geschichte Europa - and. Länder - Mittelalter, Frühe Neuzeit, Note: 1,3, Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald (Historisches Institut), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Als angehende Historikerin und auch als Frau interessiere ich mich gerade im Rahmen der aktuell diskutierten Frauenquoten für die Frauen in der Geschichte, ihren Beitrag, ihre Würdigung beziehungsweise ihr Ansehen in der Gesellschaft. Ich habe mich in meiner Arbeit für eine Zeit entschieden, in der die Gesellschaft über die Maßen von Krisen erschüttert war und sich gerade die Frauen als Überlebensstrategen erwiesen haben. Sie haben alles getan, um sich und ihrer Familie den Lebensunterhalt und -erhalt zu ermöglichen. Ich spreche von den Trossfrauen und Marketenderinnen des Dreißigjährigen Krieges. Ihnen werde ich mein Hauptaugenmerk widmen, wenn es auch noch die Frauen in den Städten, die adligen Damen und natürlich die vielen auf den ländlichen Höfen verbliebenen Frauen gab, die ebenso um das Überleben in einer Zeit kämpften, die schlicht mit den drei Wörtern "Zerstörung, Plünderung und Flucht" zusammengefasst werden könnte. Es wäre natürlich zu einfach, den Dreißigjährigen Krieg auf diese drei Lexeme zu reduzieren. Der große Krieg der Frühen Neuzeit stellt sich viel komplexer dar. So wird er unter anderem von Georg Schmidt mit Phrasen wie: ""Konflikt zweier Machtblöcke", [als] "Staatsbildungskrieg" [sowie auch als] "Kampf um die ständisch-republikanische [im Sinne der Stände] oder eine absolutistisch-monarchische Herrschaft [im Sinne des Kaisers]" [bezeichnet, oder schlicht von ihm als] "Konfessionskrieg"" betitelt. Als Ursachen und Gründe für die lange Fortdauer des Krieges nimmt man neben den konfessionellen Streitigkeiten, die eben nicht mit dem Augsburger Religionsfrieden von 1555 beigelegt wurden, den Kampf zwischen den Reichsständen und dem Kaiser sowie das Hegemoniestreben der Habsburger und
